As an integral part of reducing cost of promoting optimal worker health and productivity is to have an "Injury Prevention Program" in place.
Classic provides the following on-site prevention programs:
- Job Task Analysis - complete analysis of the physical demands of a specific job in order to develop the functional job description. This helps in identifying the critical job demands and to determine the essential and non-essential functions.
- Pre-Employment Screening - to assist in proper matching of the worker to the job using simulated job tasks.
- Job Site Analysis or Ergonomic Assessment - a detailed analysis of a specific job site and tools to determine any factors that may lead to risk of injury.
- Education Programs - designed specifically for the workers regarding their job site, tasks and safety with a focus of preventing injury, e.g., back education classes, proper body mechanics, nutrition in-services, etc.
- Job Shadowing (Coaching) - to support the worker to follow through with the return to work program strategies, e.g., proper lifting techniques. Also to ensure the recommendations of the job site analysis have been met.
